To further enhance corporate compliance and establish a solid foundation for international development, Shandong Heavy Industry Group launched a series of Civil Code promotional activities in May 2025. These initiatives aim to strengthen legal and compliance awareness across the Group, promote the integration of the Civil Code into global business practices, and provide a strong legal safeguard for the Group’s internationalization strategy.
Strengthening Government–Enterprise and Court–Enterprise Collaboration to Promote Legal Awareness
To bring legal knowledge closer to employees and deepen understanding of compliance principles, SINOTRUK invited experts and officials from the Jinan Administration for Market Regulation to deliver a lecture on anti-unfair competition compliance. Shantui, in collaboration with the Intermediate People’s Court of Jining City and the People’s Courts of Gaoxin and Yanzhou Districts, organized a legal education session at the enterprise, targeting employees, local students, and media representatives. Zhongtong Bus welcomed experts from the People’s Court of Liaocheng City Dongchangfu District to deliver an in-depth and practical lecture on contract management and duty-related crimes in state-owned enterprises from a judicial perspective, offering an engaging legal education experience for company staff.
Tailored Training Programs Based on Business Needs
Shandong Heavy Industry organized multiple targeted training sessions featuring prominent legal experts from Jinan, Hong Kong, and other regions. Topics included the Civil Code’s contract provisions and legal compliance in international operations. Business and functional personnel from various departments and subsidiaries participated in the sessions, significantly enhancing the Group’s capacity for compliant operations both domestically and overseas. Subsidiaries such as Weichai, SINOTRUK, Shantui, Stong Leasing, and Shandong Heavy Industry Finance hosted additional training sessions tailored to their specific business contexts, improving employees’ ability to identify and manage legal and compliance risks in daily operations.
Expanding Legal Education Platforms to Foster a Strong Compliance Culture
Leveraging both online and offline channels, Shandong Heavy Industry launched a wide range of Civil Code publicity activities. The Group’s official social media accounts and internal digital publications featured legal insights and case studies, encouraging interactive learning among employees. Offline, dedicated compliance bulletin boards were utilized to display educational posters and continuously play Civil Code-themed videos, creating an accessible and effective legal learning environment. These efforts aim to foster a culture of legal awareness, rule-following, and rule-abiding behavior among all staff.
Through the 2025 “Civil Code Promotion Month” campaign, Shandong Heavy Industry has promoted the deep integration of the Civil Code into the Group’s global development strategy and enhanced the legal literacy and compliance capabilities of all employees. Looking ahead, the Group will continue striving to become a model of legal and compliant operation in the equipment manufacturing sector, contributing “Shandong Heavy Industry solutions” to the compliant global expansion of Chinese manufacturing.
