On April 8, Wang Zhijian, Party Secretary and Chairman of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, visited China Automotive Technology and Research Center Co., Ltd. ('CATARC') for discussions and exchanges. During the visit, he held talks with An Tiecheng, Party Secretary and Chairman of CATARC, and attended the signing ceremony of a strategic cooperation agreement among Weichai Group, Sinotruk, and CATARC.
Wang Zhijian expressed his appreciation to CATARC for its longstanding strong support for the development of Shandong Heavy Industry Group. He noted that Shandong Heavy Industry is accelerating its strategic transformation toward greener, more globalized, digitalized and intelligent, and ecosystem-based development, while advancing the entire industrial chain of commercial vehicles and power systems toward world-class standards and stronger leadership positions. He expressed hope that, building on the solid foundation of existing cooperation, the two sides would further leverage their complementary strengths, deepen industrial-chain collaboration, expand cooperation in cutting-edge and forward-looking technological innovation, testing, and services, and better support high-quality corporate development and the green and low-carbon transformation of the industry.
An Tiecheng welcomed Wang Zhijian and his delegation and introduced CATARC's latest progress in industry standard development, testing and certification, and technological innovation. He said that CATARC will fully leverage its comprehensive technical service capabilities across the entire automotive industry value chain, integrate the advantageous resources of its various business segments, and provide strong support for Shandong Heavy Industry Group. He expressed the hope that both sides would further expand cooperation in the fields of new energy vehicles and intelligent connected vehicles, and jointly promote the high-quality development of China's commercial vehicle industry.
Ma Changhai, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, as well as Party Secretary and Chairman of Weichai Group, and Liu Zhengtao, Party Secretary and Chairman of Sinotruk, signed the agreements respectively with Zhou Hua, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of CATARC.
Prior to the meeting, the Shandong Heavy Industry Group delegation visited CATARC's enterprise culture exhibition gallery and new energy vehicle technology innovation base.
